一、praise作动词时，praise sb. for(doing) sth. 因（做）某事而表扬某人。如：
The Mayor praised the rescue teams for their courage. 市长称赞了救援队的勇气。

二、praise作名词时，in praise of 赞扬。如：
He wrote a poem in praise of his hero. 他写了一首诗赞美他的英雄。
American reviewers are lavish in their praise of this book. 美国评论家们对该书不吝赞美之词。
Hindus were singing hymns in praise of the god Rama. 印度教教徒在唱圣歌赞美罗摩神。
